Why clay clumps
Clumping clay is made from bentonite, which swells and binds when wet. That makes it easy to scoop out waste and keep the rest of the litter clean.
Depth and scooping
Keep about two to three inches of litter in the box, scoop daily, and top up as needed. Replace it completely on the maker's schedule.
