Wipes between baths
Grooming wipes are the quickest way to clean muddy paws after a walk, wipe a dirty face or freshen a coat between baths. Use wipes made for pets, since some ingredients in people wipes aren't meant for dogs to lick.
Trimming nails
If you can hear your dog's nails clicking on the floor, they're probably due for a trim. Trim a little at a time, avoiding the quick (the pink part inside light nails), and give a treat after each paw. If your dog is very nervous, a groomer or vet can help.
Paw checks
After walks, check between your dog's toes for burrs, small stones or cuts, especially after hikes or on salted winter sidewalks.
