Dog treats from small bakeries
By the Toodle team · Updated · Prices checked daily
Some of the best dog treats come from small bakeries rather than big brands. These are made by independent dog bakeries we work with, from French-style macarons to biscuits, homemade bites and dried treats.
They make great gifts, and most come in several flavors.

What makes a dog bakery treat different
Dog bakeries make their treats in small batches, often by hand, and many sell them directly to customers. You'll find things big brands rarely make: French-style macarons, decorated cookies, biscuits in gift tins, cake mixes and seasonal treats.
Every treat in this guide is made by the bakery that sells it. We left out other brands those shops resell.
Choosing gourmet dog treats as a gift
Gift boxes and tins are the easiest choice: they arrive ready to give and usually mix several flavors. For a birthday or a new puppy, a cake mix or a box of macarons makes it feel like a celebration.
Check each bakery's shipping times before ordering for a date, since many treats are baked to order.
Storing handmade dog treats
Small-batch treats often use fewer preservatives, so follow the storage and shelf-life guidance on each bakery's product page, and keep them sealed and somewhere cool and dry.
